Johannesburg, South Africa, Harare, Zimbabwe, Vienna, Austria, Tokyo, Japan – September 19, 2012 – African Compass International Limited (“ACI” or the “Company”), today announced its Europe based International Representative met with the visiting dignitaries over dinner from the Republic of Namibia Ministry of Mines and Energy, Mining Commissioner, The Honourable Erasmus I. Shivolo and Deputy Director of Controlled Minerals and Mineral Development Division, Directorate of Mines, Ms. Helena Itamba, at the sidelines of the 56th International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference in Vienna, Austria.
The International Representative of ACI gave an introduction of ACI interest in mining and energy in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The parties then discussed mining and energy investment in Namibia.
The Honourable Erasmus I. Shivolo pointed to the conducive investment environment of the country and expressed the government’s support for investments which go in tandem with meeting the country’s vision 2030 as an industrialized country and a favourable business destination of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
ACI’s International Representative expressed his gratitude to The Honourable Erasmus I. Sivolo for meeting with him out of his busy schedule, and expressed his admiration for the remarkable achievement the country has attained in Africa for its conducive investment environment in recent years.
